1971 thru 1975: City University of New York and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting

I began my accounting career in 1976 working for a couple of companies in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, including two years with a CPA firm in Palm Beach.

In 1980 I formed Palm Beach Accounting & Investments, Inc. and added an array of monthly business clients in the service and retail industries. I sold my client base to an accountant in 1997, after having prepared over 7,000 tax returns consisting of individuals, trusts, estates, gifts, corporations and partnerships (including LLC’s). I was able to procure from the Internal Revenue Service a refund of over $100,000 in interest and penalties to a new chiropractor client, caused by errors by his previous accountant.

Since 1997, my focus has been in forensic accounting, trustee work, interim CFO and controllership of companies. I have been sole trustee to a multi- million dollar, multi-generational family of trusts. Attorneys have relied upon my skills to prepare guardianship quarterly and annual accounting reports for Florida and Palm Beach County. I’ve also served on the boards of two public companies.

Since 1983 I’ve been a fifty percent owner of a real estate company with the emphasis on the purchase and sale of businesses. I’ve analyzed the books, records, and financial statements of those businesses for the accuracy of valuating them.

My forensic accounting services have been requested by venture capital firms for their portfolio companies, and attorneys for their clients. These services usually consist of reviewing financial statements, bank statements including checks, wires, and deposits, reviewing contracts, fixed assets, accounts payable and other liabilities, in a search for their validity or their possible fraudulent conveyance. I’ve discovered $30,000 in bearer bonds and had them re-issued by the State of Florida to my client, and also discovered $260,000 in a lost account for a family trust according to a trust document they were unaware of.
